Our CNC routers are most commonly used for, but not limited to, routing of wood, foams, plastics (that include; HDPE, UHMW, Nylon etc..) and some soft metals. With processing tables as large as 48″ x 120″ we can machine large surfaces at a fast rate!
Waterjet cutting has been a staple in SDP’s productivity and can plow through large production runs in a short amount of time! From simple shapes to complex multi-angle cutting, our waterjets can handle it all. Specialized nesting software ensures we are always getting the best part yield and reducing the amount of wasted scrap.
Automated die cutting is unmatched for creating large volume of parts in a short amount of time. Our die cutters produce almost any shape or size with precision tolerances. From kiss cutting thin foam tape to stamping 3 inch thick parts with ease. SDP’s die cutters can handle it all!
As tough as a truck bed liner, SDP has the capability of applying a long lasting two-part polyurea coating to just about any surface that takes a constant beating. This process is more durable then traditional powder coating while also being less labor intensive and time consuming. Polyurea coating is most commonly used for but not limited to; foam dunnage, dunnage assemblies and metal components.

Round machined parts? No worries! SDP has a new found capability with investing in a CNC lathe. Our gang tool lathe can handle parts from 1/4″ diameter all the way up to 4″ in diameter. We are set up to quickly and efficiently turn parts of all materials from soft HDPE plastics to stainless steel!
Secondary operations at SDP are no problem! We can easily and quickly add T-slots, notches, channels, PSA adhesive, countersinks, counterbores, chamfers, radii and much more!
Wire Contour Cutting has been one of SDP’s signature operations for years! We are capable of producing parts that are up to 60 inches long by 48 inches wide. Most commonly ran parts are pipe insulation style tubes, contoured seat cushions, large channeled trays and wide finger style foam.
Home to large skivers, SDP has the capability to slice sheets to a desired thickness for resale OR post processing such as waterjet or die cutting. Our skivers can handle many foam types including; polyurethane, polyethene, expanded polyethene, and all XLPE densities.
Assembly has played a very large role in SDP. With our highly skilled assembly team, there is no job too big or complex! Our assembly process is unmatched with high efficiency, accurate assemblies and quick turn around times.
Laser etching is made possible with a high quality CNC compressed spot laser. Laser engraving is handy for etching company logos, symbols, and labels. Our laser can handle any non-reflective materials such as; wood, polyurethane, polyethylene, XLPE and some painted parts.
3D printing assists with small prototype parts as well as in house part analysis. Keeping tight tolerances and reducing wasted material 3D printing is a preferred method of testing part fit and function with out spending a ton of money. SDP’s printers are set up to handle all types of materials!
